Singapore Summer 2001

Outside the restroom, the group wanted to sit and take a last summer shot.

During my last week, I had lunch with Johanna and caught up on news, gossip, and life.

Planning to meet Chris and Ingrid later in the afternoon to get henna tattoos, I dragged Johanna into a Starbucks so I could get coffee to wake up.  I would normally go to the Coffee Bean, but Starbucks was the nearest coffee place to the tattoo parlors.

I chose a henna dragon that looks like stick figure, later regretting the placement of the tattoo since my hair usually covers my whole back.  Also, it was brown henna . . . yes, it was not that visible.

Chris found a cool flower-vine design to put on her back, along with two other henna tattoos -- on her arm and chest.

A touch-up of her old henna arm tattoo.

I don't know why people waited until the last week to meet up and say goodbye.  Jane (me!), Leslie in Boston College, Mark who goes to Washington D.C. for college, and Johanna along Orchard Road and in front of another Starbucks.

Mark successfully dodges the camera.  There's the overpriced but cute Esprit store.  Besides that is the Singapore branch of Planet Hollywood.

Oh look, flying Szechuan chicken!

John warning me not to take a picture . . . too late.  School started for the SAS-ers, which is why he's in uniform.

Ahh, Delifrance, I love you!  A McDonald version of French bread and other delicacies . . . but not as McDonaldized and the food is healthy!
