John ate dinner with my family @ Merchant Court Hotel. Having our table outside gave us a relaxing view of the Singapore river and an amazingly calm Clarke Quay.
David, Ma, & Papa getting ready to eat LOTS of seafood. John regulated my dinner with soft-shell crab, scallops, and other seafood alien to my regular diet. I also convinced myself that I'm allergic to all sorts of fish & never knew it since I dare not try it before.
The dinner conversation consisted of computers, computers, and what else? Ahh, more computers. The lingo made my head spin as I looked over the table to Mama who felt equally lost.
I finally persuaded John to wear my 2001 headress while I take his pilgrim hat.
John & I prove that the hats the hotel provided were definitely unisex.
Mama, John, & I try to make as much noise as possible @ Planet Hollywood with only these small instruments. There we were showered with more hats and party favors.
A clearer shot of the revelers. Laughing took all the breath out of me.
John with is defected whistle. Just imagine if he turned the whistle vertically as it should have been placed.
My mom's masquerade.
Then I gleefully try my own mask.
My dad tries the balloon-whistle while John and I make more last minute noise. From Planet Hollywood, we went out to Orchard Road to join the crowd for the countdown. The police quickly stopped the too-rowdy. Then my parents were nice enough to drive us to Kenny's house where everyone congregated after Trader Vic's. John & I stayed for 45 minutes then visited Adam. Our night ended around 2:30 AM. A short celebration, but fun.
