Christmas.2001.Singapore
Craig remarked on the similarity in Mama and my outfits . . . down to the white shoes. Believe me, this was not prearranged. |
Sentosa Saturday. Sentosa is Singapore's biggest recreation island. Intending to head for the beach, Craig and I made a detour to Underwater World. Here, we got to touch baby sharks, blowfishes, stingrays, and came face to face with deadlier predators of the deep. |
Capturing just the tip of a stingray, Craig and I went through the looping aquarium. |
Craig greets fishes big enough to feed us for a month. Later, we visited the pink dolphins @ the Dolphin Lagoon. |
Finally, beaches nice enough to swim in and also for sunbathing. Craig does not lose time. |
I chose a shadier spot. Later, swimming towards one of the rafts, I got stung by a jellyfish. The pain was indescribable and later brought me itchiness. Once on the raft, I accused the guppies I saw below me as the perpetrators, however, the lifeguards proved otherwise. |
The day before Craig left, we trooped to Orchard Road and joined the melee greeting Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz to Singapore. The pair visited Singapore to promote their movie, Vanilla Sky. Wonder where Cameron Diaz went. |
It was pure chaos when we spotted the motorcade leading Cruise and Cruz. Their car is the second one from the police. A green Mercedes. Tom passed right IN FRONT of me and I caught his famous smile. |
Although I failed to get clearer pictures, Craig managed to get great shots of Cruise on our handycam. |
With practically no sighting of Penelope, Cruise had a hot and fun time signing autographs, shaking hands, and taking pictures with his fans. |
With eyes bleary from sleep, the three of us headed to the
airport @ 4:30 in the morning to see Craig off.
Saying goodbye to three and a half wonderful weeks.
Craig and I saw and experienced a lot more than these
pictures depict, however, it would have taken many pages on my homepage to show
the pictures. Plus, my camera was not functioning for half his visit.
Craig, Singapore says "Visit again, lah!"
